Local leaders attend State of Energy event

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, the Georgia Chamber Foundation hosted the State of Energy event at the Coca-Cola Company Atlanta Office Campus. Beth Chandler Noland, Executive Director of the Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce, and Susanne Reynolds, Director of the Development Authority of Early County, were both in attendance, representing not only the local community but the entire region.
The event brought together top leaders to advance conversations in the energy sectors. Panel discussions included insights from Kim Greene, Georgia Power Chairman, President & CEO; Annalisa Bloodworth, Oglethorpe Power President & CEO; Jim Fuller, MEAG Power President & CEO; Kevin Greiner, and Gas South President & CEO. These conversations focused on sharing best practices, discussing policy developments and exploring long-term collaborative opportunities.

A special data center panel, which included Nikki Vanderslice, President & CEO of the Fayette County Development Authority and Katie Ottenweller, Lead of Energy Market Development with Google, was moderated by Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber. Insights were shared from a local economic development perspective, covering the history of QTS-Fayetteville and best practices for communities considering data center developments.
