Faith Mills receives Early Co. Growth Scholarship 2025

The Development Authority of Early County is pleased to announce Faith Elise Mills of Blakely, the daughter of Torre and Lawana Mills, as the recipient of the 2025 Early County Growth Scholarship.

The scholarship, a total of $4,500 designated for the student’s higher education expenses, is made possible through an annual payment to the Development Authority by Silicon Ranch.

It is designed for an Early County resident planning to return home to make a positive impact in the community after completing his or her higher education.

This fall semester Faith Mills will attend Augusta State University where she will major in pre-nursing. Her long-term career goal is to become a labor and delivery nurse.

The Development Authority of Early County chooses to invest in students because they believe younger generations returning to Early County will make positive contributions towards the county’s growth and prosperity.

Faith Elise Mills of Blakely is the daughter of Torre and Lawana Mills.

“Through this scholarship, we aim to empower future home-grown leaders, like Faith, who are devoted to improving Early County for all,” Mike Newberry, Chairman for the Development Authority, said, “The greatest investments to support are our students. When we support their growth, we are supporting the foundation for a resilient community.”
