The Development Authority of Early County has been selected as part of the inaugural cohort for the Invest in Rural America, a program promoted within the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit.
Twenty-one states with rural or tribal economic development organizations (EDOs) make up the cohort. The Development Authority of Early County is the only EDO in Georgia represented in the program.
At the SelectUSA Investment Summit, rural and tribal EDOs showcase some of the most promising U.S. locations for foreign companies looking to expand or establish operations.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest profile event in the United States to facilitate business investment by connecting thousands of investors, companies, EDOs and industry experts to make deals happen.
Hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Investment Summit is a one-stop shop for companies considering expanding to the United States and provides EDOs with the opportunity to meet directly with international companies to facilitate investment deals. Since inception, the SelectUSA Investment Summit has attracted thousands of international companies and economic development representatives generating over $250 billion in new investment projects supporting more than 125,000 jobs across the United States and its territories.
The previous SelectUSA Investment Summit saw record-breaking numbers with more than 5,500 participants, including EDO representatives from 54 U.S. states and territories and over 2,700 business investors from over 100 countries.
The 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit will be held in National Harbor, Maryland, from May 3 – 6, where the Director for the Development Authority of Early County, Susanne Reynolds, will attend on behalf of rural Georgia and Early County. For more information, visit www.selectusasummit.us.
