Development Authority Accepting 2025 Growth Scholarship Applications

The Development Authority of Early County is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for the 2025 Early County Growth Scholarship, sponsored by the authority with funds provided by Silicon Ranch. The deadline for completed applications is Friday, May 16, by 4 p.m.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist outstanding young adults who are planning to continue their education after high school and to foster future growth in Early County.

The total scholarship award is $4,500. The amount each recipient receives will depend on the number of winners, either one or two, selected by the Development Authority. Winner(s) will be chosen by the week of June 2. The recipient’s check will be deposited directly to his or her post-secondary institution unless otherwise stated by the institution’s policy. If an acceptable number of qualified applicants do not apply, funds will be applied to the following scholarship academic year.

Applicants must reside in Early County. Verification of address will take place once applications are submitted. Applicants must be a current high school senior and must enroll in a post-secondary program for the 2024-2025 academic year and must have intentions of returning to Early County upon completion of the post-secondary program.

Applications can be found at Early County High School, Southwest Georgia Academy, Pataula Charter Academy, or the Chamber-Development Authority Office, 214 Court Square. Applications can also be downloaded from the Development Authority of Early County Facebook page.
